Dear Renee (Love Mechanics),
I want a family, but my boyfriend isn't sure he wants kids. I'm 36 and he's 43. We've been together for two years. This Spring he told me he wasn't sure he wanted kids. I've always be up front about the fact I wanted kids and he was supportive. He moved to another city in July and the long distance is difficult for me as well. He says he can't ask me to move in with him until he decides about kids. now what do I do? Please help.

This is your life and after 2 years you must decide what you want! Don’t waste years waiting for him to change his mind. The distance and indecision are 2 reasons not to move in or force him to do something he does not want to do! Raising a family is a big responsibility and although he is “supportive” of you wanting a child he obviously does not want one at this time. The truth is the truth…so take a stand for your dream and let him go having faith in yourself. I know it hurts, but waiting for him to want what you want will only hurt YOU!
You will need support and I am available for coaching you on scripts on what to say and to support you during this process. Do not wait for a man to direct your dream or destiny if a child is what you want. You are wasting precious time.
