Q. How does it work?
A. We start with a cocktail mixer, including buffet appetizers and a cash bar. After about 30 minutes, once everyone is checked-in, we start the instructions and start the mixer. You'll talk with one person for a fewminutes, we'll ring a bell, then it's off to the next person.
Q. How many people will I meet?
A. Typically 15-30 people of the opposite sex and once the ice is broken you can meet others after the mixer ends
Q. What is the age range of those who attend?
A. We offer a variety of age ranges, depending on the location and demand. When you register for an event, be sure to check the age range to make sure it's appropriate for you.
Q. Are the age ranges for the age I am, or the age I want to date?
A. The ranges indicate the age of the attendees.
Q. What if I'm in one age group but want to date people in the other group?
A. Our Rapid Cocktail Parties have a variety of age groups. We've overlapped the groups to help those of you who fall in the middle. We can't let you cross groups though. . .if you are more than 5 years older than the events has online please. The stated range is normally the age of the attendees. Keep in mind that we host large events (often 50+ people), so normally there are plenty of people in your appropriate age range. The age ranges are broad to give you the most opportunity to meet lots of great people!
Q. I can tell immediately that someone is not for me, do I still have to talk with him/her?
A. The rotations are only a fewminutes for this reason. If you don't want to go out with the person, chat briefly and when the bell rings move on. But don't forget, this person could be a good friend or business prospect. . . there are MANY reasons to connect with someone besides just dating.
Q. What kinds of questions should I ask?
A. Avoid asking "what do you do for a living" (unless you are at Rapid Networking) and "where do you live." We all tend to ask these questions first, but what do they really tell you about the person you're meeting? Start here and your 2-3 minutes will be over before you know it. Alternatively, think of a couple of questions that will give you insights into common interests or will tell you about the person - for example (we found these questions in "Love Mechanics" by Renée Piane):

· Where were you born?
· What excites you about life?
· What are you passionate about?
· When you have time off, what is your favorite thing to do?
· What makes you happy?
· Who are your mentors and role models in life?
Q. How many matches can I expect?
A. Our match rate is second to none - typically 80-85% of the attendees walk away with at least one match or at least some new friends.
